Of Malaysian origin, James grew up in the United Kingdom, and lived in South Africa before moving to the United States a few years ago. For a while, he wore many hats: photojournalist, actor, editor and director of photography. He finally settled on advertising and directing. From shooting with tiny digital cameras to launching McDonald’s new slogan, “i’m lovin’ it”, novelty is his thing! Every time James starts a new project, he can’t wait for the next step, whether it’s shooting or editing. He’s not satisfied until everything has fallen into place. Seeing the final product always gives him goose bumps. It’s like a drug.
