Tim Georgeson

Tim Georgeson is a filmmaker and photographic artist whose oeuvre features mystical insight on cultural enclaves, environmental and humanitarian crisis zones, street life and haunted landscapes. His unique perspective inside the boundaries of art and documentary captures complex dynamics in contemporary life in a momentous time of globalism and technological change. His current film work merges found moments and storytelling with musical design in groundbreaking collaborations, most notably with Australian indigenous artists and communities in landscapes that have been transformed by natural disasters.

Georgeson is the recipient of World Press Photo, Leica Camera, International Centre for Photography (New York), and National Geographic awards. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in France, the UK, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Canada, the US, and Australia. His work is held in the collections of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia, Art Bank, the Australian Museum, the Bundanon Trust Art Museum as well as in regional galleries, museums, and private collections internationally.
